You set the price in cedis. You buy the dollars later.

The supplier price, the freight and the credit terms are agreed. The exchange rate is the one cost still open, and it is a currency risk you carry until you pay. noeud values every open order in cedis from the day you commit, shows what a move could cost against the tolerance you set, and puts licensed banks’ quotes side by side when you’re ready to buy.

Why the exchange rate is the cost importers see last

A container ship moored under gantry cranes, loaded with containers

Built for importers who can’t reprice: contractors on a schedule of rates, suppliers on fixed-price tenders and term supply agreements, distributors selling at a regulated price. Typically $600,000 to $60 million a year.

1Mark

Your open orders, in cedis.

What every open order and supplier invoice costs in cedis today, not at month-end.

  • Upload your open purchase orders and supplier invoices: supplier, currency, amount, due date. A spreadsheet is enough.
  • Mark values each one through the trading day, from the day you commit, and shows how far it has moved since.
  • You see the move before the goods arrive, not after it has gone into cost of sales.

What a move could cost you.

Measured against the tolerance you set, not against a forecast.

  • Tell us how much of each order you can absorb; the default is 5% of its value.
  • Profile measures what a move could cost before the payment date: a planning figure (no worse four times in five) and a stress figure (worse one time in a hundred).
  • It shows how likely each order is to pass your tolerance. It doesn’t predict the rate or tell you what to do.

Competing quotes.

When you decide to buy, licensed banks quote side by side, and your own bank can match the best price.

  • Spot, or a forward where a bank offers one.
  • Each bank quotes firm and all-in, with every charge included, so you compare the cedis you pay per dollar delivered, not headline rates.
  • If your bank matches, the trade stays with your bank and nothing moves. noeud adds nothing to the rate.

Questions importers ask

Have more questions? Don’t hesitate to email us:

Do I have to change banks?

No. You keep your accounts. Your bank sees the best competing quote and can match it.

What do I upload?

Your open orders and supplier invoices: supplier, currency, amount, due date. A spreadsheet is enough.

Can I cover a payment in advance?

If a bank offers a forward for your trade, you can ask for that quote through Route. Whether to cover is your decision.

I buy dollars against an LC or import loan. Does this still work?

For visibility, yes: Mark and Profile cover every open obligation. Currency tied to a bank facility stays with the bank that granted it, so Route covers the rest.

Who sees my data?

You decide. Nothing that identifies you or your trades leaves noeud without your consent, and we never sell it.
